Vice President Yu Sile gave an academic presentation.

At the 2023 AAO Annual Meeting, HESH Group's latest research findings garnered significant attention.

From November 3rd to 6th, the 127th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) took place in San Francisco, USA.

The AAO Annual Meeting is a premier academic event in the field of ophthalmology, bringing together the latest advancements in global ophthalmic medicine and technology. Each year, it attracts tens of thousands of ophthalmic professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge and expertise.

Vice Dean Yu Sile from the School of Public Health at He University in Liaoning was invited to attend the conference and presented an academic paper titled "Assessing the impact of AI-assisted portable slit lamps on rural primary ophthalmic medical service."

HESH Group has been dedicated to using digital healthcare technology to contribute to rural revitalization. The institution's three-tier eye healthcare system, integrating artificial intelligence and internet hospitals, brings high-quality eye care services to rural areas, significantly improving the cure rate of eye diseases in remote regions.

The study presented at the conference evaluated the effectiveness of HESH Group's "Rural Cataract Screening" project. The majority of cataract patients in China reside in rural areas. Without effective and convenient screening methods, many cataract patients may suffer from delayed treatment and blindness. This not only affects the patients' quality of life but also places burdens on their families, society, and the country as a whole.

HESH Group's self-developed portable slit lamp, the iSpector, is compact and lightweight, and can be installed on a mobile phone. It captures photos of patients' eyes and utilizes artificial intelligence algorithms to provide preliminary cataract diagnoses. The research findings demonstrated that providing iSpector devices to rural healthcare providers effectively improves the detection rate, referral rate, and surgical rate for cataracts. This addresses the problem of timely and effective treatment for cataracts in remote areas.

This study, focusing on the practical application and effectiveness of artificial intelligence technology, provides a groundbreaking solution to effectively enhance the prevention and treatment of cataracts at the grassroots level worldwide, thus lowering the rate of cataract-induced blindness. It offers a fresh approach and perspective to address this global issue.

Attendees discussed potential use cases for the eyerobo series of intelligent devices.

The eyerobo Vision Screener (eyeroboVS) by He Vision Group can measure 10 eye parameters, including myopia and astigmatism, in just 3 seconds without the need for dilation. Compared to traditional computerized optometry devices, it offers more powerful screening capabilities and a wider range of applications.

The eyerobo Non-Mydriatic Fundus Camera (eyeroboFC) is capable of capturing color fundus images of both eyes without dilation. Empowered by DICOM system technology, it enables comprehensive eye health management in a single platform for both doctors and patients.

The eyerobo Smart Eye Health Trainer (eyeroboSF) combines intelligent visual function training with a smart eye health management system. It effectively alleviates eye fatigue and helps children and adolescents prevent and control myopia.

HESH Group is committed to staying at the forefront of global technological advancements. They actively engage in international scientific and technological cooperation and strive to create an internationally integrated ecosystem driven by cutting-edge technology and data. By providing users with a new digital eye health management experience, they contribute their efforts to the global cause of promoting eye health for all.
